Ceremony begins with Nicole opening sacred space with a prayer of invocation and calling in the Directions, Elements, Spirit Animals, Guides and Ancestors with her drum to share their wisdom, guidance, healing and protection as you drink your cacao. You’ll lie down in your cacao cocoon, put on an eye mask and listen to a guided meditation, shamanic drumming and a sacred music playlist as cacao takes you on an inward journey.

Note: Cacao is not a psychedelic; it contains psychoactive compounds, which create a lucid dreamlike state. You are aware and awake and can function. normally during and after your journey.
Journey Duration and Access: The journey itself is about 1.5 hours; the connection with cacao will be with you always. You have access to the guided journey for one month.
What You’ll Need for Your Journey

- Space to lie down (on a rug or yoga mat) with a blanket
- Eye mask (to cover your eyes during the journey)
- Spotify (without ads) or Apple Music to access the playlist
- External speaker or headphones (for optimal sound)
- Journal & pen (to capture your experience and messages)
- Water (for hydration)
- Candle (to create sacred space)
Preparation for an Optimal Experience: No food 2-3 hours before for an optimal experience. No dairy that day and light caffeine only. Hydrate before and after with water and electrolytes. No substances (alcohol, recreational drugs) day of and the night before.
Medical Contraindications: If you are taking heart medication or high dose anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medicine, or have compromised liver function, cacao is not recommended. You can always go on the journey without cacao or have just one sip to honor the Cacao Spirit. Mid-to-low dose medications are ok with a reduced amount (1/2) of a ceremonial serving.
